As I have told you earlier I always prefer eating sweet stuff for breakfast. This is not only sweet, but healthy too. We are not making use of sugar but maple syrup for the sweet taste and apricots for healthy and nutty flavor.
Ingredients
- Oats – 1 cup
- Maple syrup – ¼ cup
- Dried apricots – ¼ cup
- Ground cinnamon – ¼ teaspoon
- Water – 2 cups
Directions
1. In a sauce pan bring, water, maple syrup, dried apricots and cinnamon to boil.
2. Stir in oats. Bring it to boil. Reduce the flame and cook 2 minutes for quick oats and 5 minutes for old fashioned oats. Cook until water is absorbed.
3. Switch off heat and serve topped with nuts or plain.
